My English Essay So Far

Have you ever been told that you would never be successful because you are a certain type or your 'not smart' enough?
Well, Judy and Nick were told the equivalent, in the movie 'Zootopia' directed by Rich Moore and Byron Howard.
Nick was portrayed as a sly and sneaky fox and Judy was portrayed as a dumb and stupid bunny.
Judy didn't let this stereotype get to her head but Nick did. Nick was classed as a predator and Judy was classed as prey, they weren't supposed to be seen together and they weren't meant to be around one another. If you were prey you had to associate with the other prey
and if you were a predator you had to avoid the prey and had to assist with the other predators.
I will be talking about their problems and others, also how they solved it.
An idea in Zootopia is stereotypes,  and that's what I will be talking about also.

At the beginning of the movie, we saw Judy as a child in a play, being a cop and spreading the message that you can be anything but everyone laughed at her because she was/is a 'dumb' bunny. Indeed, in the end, she became a cop and changed lives as well as continue to spread the message that if you can dream it you can be it. In the middle of the movie, Nick got comfortable with Judy and opened up. Nick told Judy about how he had a dream of being a scout but his dreams were crushed so he thought that if he was portrayed like a sly fox he will be a sly fox. When Nick was 8-9 years old he wanted to be in the Junior Ranger Scouts so his mum saved up all her money to Buy Nick the uniform. On his first day, all the existing scout members made him do an oath and then all the prey (he was the only predator there) ganged up on him and forced Nick to wear a muzzle. From that experience, he got traumatised and Nick became more rebellious.

Stereotypes are presented throughout the movie and to see that Bellwether used that to her advantage was very tactical of her. Bellwether basically was an act and got others in trouble for the same thing she was doing. She was sly, dumb and sneaky. She sets a great example on who you shouldn't be and to see another side of the problem. At the start of the movie, she was nice, kind and sweet and at the end of the movie she was a sly piece of work. She actually turned out quite nasty and awful towards her own friends and other animals.

Nick and Judy worked amazingly with all the missing mammal cases and I can't believe they got it done within a week. They worked so hard and worked super well together even though Nick was kind of forced into it. They had to find 14 mammals in a matter of 48 hours because chef Bogo had no faith in Judy. Mayor Lion Heart was in all of this to our surprise. He said that he was just trying to protect Zootopia. Judy did a news coverage of this all and said too much information about the case. That's when all of the stereotypes were at its peak point because people took Judy's words the wrong way. After that, Judy resigned because it was all too much for her to cope with. A couple of months working on her family's farm, Judy's mum sore some kits (young rabbits) going near some flowers. Judy's mum told them to be careful because one of Judy's relatives went ‘savage’ after having contact with that flower. Judy then discovered that it was the flower that was making all the predators go savage. She later discovered that the flower was darted into the victims and finds the place storing and producing the product.

You shouldn't let stereotypes change what you want to be or change your perspective on the world because people tell you that you won't be what you want to be. let this movie be a lesson to all and let Judy set an example and to not listen to stereotypes. Nick went from a pure stereotype to something that sets an amazing example to all. You should never judge a book by its cover. Never let anything be in your path and always be open to opportunities. Don't think in the box, always think of another way you can combat the situation and think out of the box.

You have shown understanding of the ideas/messages in the movie. You have provided specific scenes and discussed why you think they are important.
To improve your introduction, you should RESPOND TO THE QUESTION, USING KEY WORDS FROM THE QUESTION.
You can use the sentence starters to help you with this.
You will also need to add 2 more body paragraphs to further develop your ideas.
