Health work

Health - Hauora

These last two weeks in health class we have been learning about spiritual well being ( Taha Wairua ). We have been doing some activities and tasks around spiritual well being.

What is Spiritual Well Being?
Spiritual well being is based on what you believe in and your values. This does not necessarily mean following a religion. It's also about the motivation and attitude towards life. Most importantly your personal Identity.

In health class, we all took a values test and this is my top two values and some questions:...

I got teamwork and humour

From the values I chose, write the two most important to you?
The most important ones to me were teamwork and humour

Why is this value important to me?
Because I love working and helping my team/s out and I always try to make people laugh.

Recall a moment in your life where you lived this moment in real life.
teamwork, when I needed help in my work and since I helped them they helped me. Humour, when people were upset so I made them laugh to cheer them up.

If this value is not respected by others, how do you feel or act?
Teamwork, when I was not respected and I lost my earnings because of them being selfish. Humour when no one laughed at my jokes, lol.

Slave Trade Triangle

What is  the Slave Trade Triangle: The slave trade triangle is how the slaves got/
get there by boats.
What is the First Passage: The first passage was from Europe to Africa. The cargo on this passage was guns and weapons. These were the items that they traded for slaves.

What is the Middle Passage: the rest of the slaves were shipped to the USA and processed for auction. It was here where the Cotton, Tobacco, Sugar Cane and other products slaves produced were put on ships.

What is the third Passage: Materials like cotton and tobacco that slaves picked were sent to Europe and sold, this is where the slave trade starts over and over again.

Write something you have found interesting about the topic and why: I found interesting that the slave captures had no remorse on how they treated people.

Chicken and rice patties/ the end results.

The recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cup of rice
1-2 spring onion
⅓ cheese
1 egg
1 chicken breast
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 carrot

Reflection

What did they taste like?
They tasted good but a bit bland.

What could I improve?
I could improve the taste/ putt herbs in it.

what could we replace if we didn't want chicken in the future?
You could put cooked mince, bacon and salmon etc.

what went well?
Most of mise en place was mostly done for us and we didn't burn anything.

what went badly?
I accidentally put the spray on canola oil on the 12 muffin holes and we didn't need the extra 6 holes so the oil just burned.

What I learned?
Not the put oil in the area we don't need.

TheFirst day actually cooking

15/2/19
Ingredients:
2 cup of rice
1-2 spring onion
⅓ cheese
1 egg
1 chicken breast
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 carrot

How to handle chicken:
Wash hands
Clean surface
Get out yellow cutting board
Put chicken on the board
Wash chicken
Chop chicken

Why are we doing this task?
To learn how to deal with chicken appropriately

How do we know we are successful?
When the chicken is not pink inside or we are not sick.

In here there are sprinklers, fire blankets, fire alarms and fire extinguisher.
Sprinklers are used for bigger fires, fire blankets are used for people if they catch on fire and oil fires,
fire alarms are for alerting people that there is a fire and a fire extinguisher is for blowing on a fire.
If you blow out a fire it's not going to be that effective,
To put out a fire you should sometimes use water if it's not an oil fire, use the fire extinguisher or fire blanket. If it's getting worse, get out!!!!

English: Tarzan

Tarzan:

It has a lot about how humans are destroying the animal's nature.

Clayton also represents all the ‘bad’ people and helps us see both sides of the movie.

You can see both sides of culture by the Gorillas being other cultures and Clayton being the people that
don't ‘understand’ them.

Tarzan is a story about diversity and how other people with different cultures and beliefs.
This is because Clayton represents all the ‘bad’ people and helps us see both sides of the movie.
We saw this by Clayton disrespecting the area that the Gorillas and shooting at the air, cutting down the bushes. when walking through etc. This is why I think that's important to respect the area that you are in
and the surroundings. It makes me think about palm oil and the Gorillas because people are cutting
down trees and disturbing the animals in the area. In an ideal world, there would be no cruelty to animals
and no palm oil.

Cooking at school

8/2/19
It is a large member of groups that can spread and cause disease

Pathogenic bacteria require food rich in Nutrients to survive such as poultry, fish, dairy, fruit and
vegetables.
These foods are generally perishable foods that if not stored correctly will go bad within a few days
Bacteria grow best in temperatures of 4 to 60 degrees.
Temperatures below 4 will not kill off the bacteria but it will slow them down from multiplying,
which is what causes illness.
Temperatures above 75 degrees will slowly kill bacteria off
Food = Food needs to make sure it is covered or stored.
Oxygen= Food needs to be stored in airtight containers
Neutral environment=
Temperature= Foods are stored in freezer -18 or fridge of 2-4. Cooked over 75 and reheated
over 80 degrees.
Moisture= Food needs to be cold.
Time= Food should not be left out more than 2 hours.

Enterprise studies: MONEY

Ancient coin facts

Ancient Roman coins were issued in gold, silver and bronze.
Roman/other coins were different sizes, shapes and obviously different metals.

The ancient Roman gold coins were called Aurei which contained about 95% of pure gold. The silver coins were called Denarius, which consisted of 85% silver.

Coins from long ago are quite rare now, they are worth a lot of money.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND POSTER

1)No one can take your human rights away.
2) Education
3)Everyone has the right to Freedom, though, religion.
4)Right To Speak
5)Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until
proved guilty

We chose Right no.30 ( No one can take your human rights Away) because it's a
general concept/ rule connecting to basically all the human rights.

We chose education as our second most important because we think basic knowledge
is needed for overall needs.

We chose everyone has the right to Freedom, though, religion as our third choice
because it covers everyone as an equal human being.

We chose the right to speak as our as our fourth option because everyone should be
able to speak their mind/thoughts and be able to express themselves/feelings.

We chose Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed
innocent until proved guilty as our fifth option because you should not be convicted of
a criminal penalty that you have not committed or taken part of.
