Ideal World

Ideal World

What does an ideal world look like in your mind?

What could you do to make it a reality?

My ideal world would have no racism and skin colour didn't matter not will it ever matter. Homelessness would be a thing and there would be no habitat loss nor would there be deforestation. There would be no slavery and everyone would have decent meals each day and no one would go hungry. Everyone would have decent pay and no one would go out of pocket. There would be no pollution nor the fear of losing innocent animal/creature to extinction. There would be no animal abuse and no war between country. Everyone would have access to free medical care and free education.

To make a difference, I'm going to cut down on plastic products and not use products that test on animals or harm animal in the process.

Volcanoes, Earth and Earthquakes

Image result for earthquakesSimple Earth:

Well, there are four layers of the Earth: The Crust, The Mantle, The outer Core and The Inner Core. The Inner Core is EXTREMELY hot and is the hottest part of the Earth. In fact, the Inner Core can go up to 5500c degrees!

Earthquake!!!:

So first before I talk about Earthquakes we have to know what causes them. There are two tectonic plates that run under New Zealand, One being the Indo-Australian and the other is the Pacific tectonic plate. So what causes an Earthquake? An Earthquake is caused when tectonic plates move, there is a divergent boundary (when the crust pulls apart), Convergent boundary (when two plates come together) and the Transform boundary (when two plates slide past each other)
The Convergent boundary has two categories, there is the Oceanic Continental boundary and that is denser than the Continental-Continental boundary. The damage of Earthquake all depends on their depth and where they are located.

Erupting Volcano:
Volcanoes are torturous. When one goes off YOU BETTER RUN. How is a Volcano formed? Well, when Magma from within the Earth's mantle makes its way to the surface, it erupts to form lava. Over time the Volcano can erupt over and over again, this makes it bigger and stronger. Volcanoes are usually formed where the tectonic plates meet.  When lava flows out slowly, a rock called Basalt is formed when called down but when it spews out, a rock called Pumice is formed.
The word 'volcano originally comes from the name of the Roman god of fire, Vulcan.
The Ring of Fire is where over 75% of Earths volcanoes are found.

Related imageOn Wednesday the 30th of October, my friend and I made a Volcano cake for our experiment. This task took us over three hours to do as we needed to make, cook and ice the two-layered cake.

English and Scottish treaty

I have been researching about the treaty between England and Scotland. There were wars leading up to these events in 1707. This treaty is still in place today. we have been researching treats as we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi. Most treaties have the same basic outline just like the Treaty of Waitangi and the treaty between England and Scotland.
We should celebrate the day our treaty was signed because it is part of our history.

Population change in New Zealand 1836-1901

In Social studies, we have been learning about what happened when the Europeans arrived in New Zealand and what happened. This graph shows the population change in Maori and Europeans. When the Europeans arrived the Maori population basically died off because of the introduced muskets (guns) and because they fought over land.
